In Tracing, I generate a meditative atmosphere as I steadily outline a projected map of Korea. In this work, the map embodies how there are various ways to get to one's destination but we ultimately choose how we want to go. The string used to trace as well as the string instrument used in composer Lucas Brown’s music represent the path taken in any given moment. There is also cultural significance in the depiction of the Korean peninsula as a single unified place
