Dreaming of a restorative playground
Description: A community gathers with the purpose of conversation, exchange and building connection. Creativity and dreaming are essential when we imagine what our gatherings look like, and in the ways we activate the space collectively and provide for each other's needs.
When we think about a playground, what comes to our mind? A playground is a place of creativity, whimsy, diversion, exuberance and social interaction. It is also accessible and welcoming. A restorative playground manifests the willingness to move and participate with others in a collaborative way. In this session, interdisciplinary dance artist and educator Jungeun Kim shares her creative approach to choreographing a restorative playground for a community to gather, connect, restore physical and mental health, and play.
